Hey Babes!
I am obsessed with finding new ways and new techniques when it comes to crafting and my art. So when I found out about DTF and UV DTF I was so EXCITED! For me I am all about finding things that can make my life easier.
What is DTF?
You may be thinking, Ok Lauren, what the heck is DTF in the first place? DTF, according to coldesi.com, Direct to Film or DTF is a process that transfers prints onto fabric or other substrates using a heat-press mechanism. Direct-to-film printer allows you to print a design on a film and transfer it directly to the intended surface, such as fabric.
DTF is becoming more and more popular because it allows you to create a print and transfer it to almost any type of fabric that is light or dark!
What is UV DTF?
UV DTF, according to coldesi.com, UV DTF (Direct-to-Film) Printing is an innovative printing process that utilizes a UV printer to print directly to film without the need for ink or toner.
Ok but what is the difference between the two?
Difference between DTF and UV DTF
So after all that technically talk what is the difference between DTF and UV DTF?
In laymen terms, DTF transfers are used on shirts and UV DTF is more of a permanent decal that is a perfect decal to use on tumblers.
DTF and UV DTF are becoming more and more popular in the crafting world and I am here for it!
Don't get me wrong I LOVE sublimation but if you have been around you know I love color and its not always the easiest to find sublimation that are color, with DTF you can use just about any blend of fabric.
UV DTF is one of my new favorite decals to use on my tumblers because it is a more permanent decal that is pretty much impossible to come off, I love to use them on my littles tumblers that I am ALWAYS washing.
I am just starting on my journey with DTF and UV DTF and can't WAIT to share more!
Again, I am so excited for you to take on this new adventure, my friend! 2023 is going to be filled with tons of tutorials and DIY projects, so be sure to sign up with my newsletter!
Talk soon, babes!
